Virtual FantasyCon is Here!

Here we are on November 1, 2015! Halloween is a day behind us (and I hope everyone had a wonderfully ghoulish holiday), as are all the events of the Back to the Future trilogy. Today is extra special because it’s the first day of Virtual FantasyCon!

For those new to The Mostly Steampunk Blog, Virtual FantasyCon is a new online science fiction/fantasy convention that takes place entirely on Facebook. It features contests, writer’s booths, panels, cosplay, and a whole lot more.

The two panels I’m on went live as well! I’m sharing them right here for your enjoyment.

Cogs & Wheels Discussion Panel

In Cogs & Wheels, Michelle Cornwell-Jordan, Jeffery Cook, Andrea Stafford Hintz, and I, Jonathan Fesmire, talk about the steampunk genre in writing, making, and art, and about our own works. My son, Clark, steals the show!

Future of Publishing Discussion Panel

In The Future of Publishing, Michelle Cornwell-Jordan, Rachel McCoy, Simon Oneill, Jamie White, and I discuss where publishing has been and where its going. Independent publishing is growing fast, and we discuss what that means for everyone.

Today is Sci-Fi Sunday, so check out the link and get to know some of the great authors participating! Enjoy the panels, and be sure to stop by the Virtual FantasyCon main page as well. This is the con that comes to you!
